Camellias and azaleas make up a very high proportion of the middle sized flora in Shirley’s garden. Their blooming season started a few weeks ago and for some of the plants it will continue through much of April. Here’s a couple of pictures I took this morning.
At first glance this camellia bush looks somewhat bloomed out. But actually there are hundreds of buds and flowers of at every stage of maturity. It will continue to bloom for at least another month.
The same is true of the above Azalea. Of the dozen or so camellias and azaleas in Shirley’s garden, only these two have reached full bloom.
