The Thesaurus Linguae Graecae (TLG®) at the Universityof California Irvine invites applications for a full-time researchposition. This appointment is for aninitial one-year period with the possibility of renewal. The individual to be appointed will engage inresearch (mostly bibliographical) related to the expansion of the TLGcollection and participate in a variety of activities related to textdigitization. We are seeking applications from candidates with research interestsin the literature of Late Antiquity through the Byzantine period.
Requirements - Prerequisites: Ph.D. in ByzantineLiterature (preferred) or Classics/Late Antiquity; high level of proficiency inGreek; prior experience in technology is desired but not required. Familiaritywith textual criticism and a capacity for detail-oriented work are essentialrequirements.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications andexperience. The University of Californiaoffers an attractive benefits package.
