The Department of Classics at the University of Arizona is offering its usual Summer Intensive Greek and Latin Programs. Each summer, students from across the country who wish to develop their Greek and Latin skills join UA students in enrolling in our long established, highly successful programs in both languages. In the Greek and Latin 112 courses, students master basic morphology and grammar via Hansen & Quinn and Moreland & Fleischer, respectively. In Greek 212, students are introduced to prose writers such as Lysias and Plato, and finish with extensive selections from Homer’s Iliad. Latin 212 students are introduced to prose authors such as Cicero, Livy, and Pliny, and the sequence culminates with extended readings from Vergil’s Aeneid.
Please forward this email to any students who may be interested.
