We are seeking to appoint either a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer to join our
team of academics within the Department of Classical Studies. This post
has been made possible due to a donation by Baron Lorne Thyssen-Bornemisza.
You should have appropriate academic qualifications and a strong record of
published research in the history, culture and/or archaeology of Rome
and/or its Empire. You will be experienced at teaching Classical Studies
and/or Archaeology within the higher education sector.
You will be expected to provide academic leadership for the development of
a new module exploring the history and archaeology of the Roman Empire.
You will also be an active researcher able to make a strong contribution
to the forthcoming REF.
The Faculty has a strong commitment to collective working in teaching and
scholarship and we encourage applications from those who want to work in
such a culture.
